Development of a computer system enabling interactive occupational risk assessment using the Internet

Software for an interactive Internet service supporting occupational risk assessment related to the occurrence of most harmful and strenuous factors at workstations was developed.A database - one for all users accessing the system - and an Internet server were the basic elements of the developed system. The Internet server answers the users' requests and provides communication with the database server. It also makes it possible to dynamically generate webpages and to pass the result to the user.The basic task of the above system consists in effective processing and providing access to information from databases. It also shows that information in the users' Internet browsers in the interactive procedures of occupational risk assessment that is carried out. On the basis of the information input by the users of the system, necessary calculations are done and their results are compared with data stored in the database. On the basis of those comparisons occupational risk assessment is automatically carried out.
