Developing information materials assisting workers in checking personal protective equipment they use by themselves

The main aim of the task was to prepare multimedia information materials that present in an accessible way faults and damage of equipment that are possible to detect and methods with which they can be identified. The main principle of the developed methods of checking consisted in not using any tools or testing apparatus, only organoleptic and manual assessment of the correct operation of the equipment. Information materials were prepared for the following kinds of personal protective equipment: - industrial safety helmets - equipment protecting against falls from a height - equipment protecting eyes and the face - equipment protecting hands - respiratory protective equipment - protective clothing - equipment protecting feet. The developed materials are aimed at users of the abovementioned equipment and for OSH services in enterprises.
