Sources of exposure
SOURCES OF EXPOSURE TO INFRASONIC NOISE IN THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The main sources of infrasonic noise in the work environment are:
- low-speed machines, including flow-through machines, such as motors, compressors, fans,
- energy equipment - boilers, chimneys, coal mills,
- metallurgical furnaces, in particular arc furnaces,
- some devices used in the foundry industry, e.g. moulding machines,
- means of transport, e.g. lorries, buses, trains, planes,
- wind turbines.
