Development and maintenance of the competence of the accredited body in the scope of certification of management systems in occupational safety and health, environmental protection and quality

"The task consisted in updating the documentation of the quality system of CIOP-PIB's Centre for Certification of Products and Management Systems in the scope related to the requirements of the ISO/IEC guide No. 66 and the requirements related to the environmental management system (PN-EN ISO 14001:2005), the documents of the Polish Centre for Accreditation: DA-01 ""A description of the system of accreditation"", 5th edition of December 8, 2005, and DA-02 ""The principles of using the Polish Centre for Accreditation's accreditation sign"", 7th edition of March 15, 2006, and the order of the Director of CIOP-PIB No. 22/2007 of September 11, 2007, on introducing changes in the ""Organizational regulations of CIOP-PIB"". Changes were introduced in the documentation also because of a new reference document related to the certification of food safety management systems, i.e., the PN-EN ISO 22000:2006 standard ""Food safety management systems. Requirements for any organization in the food chain"" and changes in the accreditation requirements of the Polish Centre for Accreditation related to the ISO/TS 22003:2007 standard ""Food safety management systems. Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of food safety management systems"".The quality system of the Centre as a body certifying management systems was checked and assessed on the basis of periodic reviews and annual internal audits, which confirmed that the certification processes were correct. Moreover, the conformity of the operation of CIOP-PIB as a body certifying management systems was assessed during scheduled annual external audits carried out at the Centre by the Polish Centre for Accreditation. It was confirmed that the Centre had proper competence to conduct certification of management systems in the scope of accreditation agreed on during the audit.The Polish Centre for Accreditation extended CIOP-PIB's accreditation in the scope of certification of management systems and broadened it to include compliance of food safety management systems (FSMS) with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO 22000:2006 standard."
