Development of a method of evaluating electromagnetic processes in orthopaedic treatment (model and quality studies)

Streszczenie projektu:
The aim of the task was to study quantitatively and qualitatively the problems resulting from electromagnetotherapy. An analysis of the services on the market showed that currently magnetotherapy is the only therapeutic technique on the market; further studies focused on that technique. Numerical modelling related to the problems of magnetotherapy was developed. Two magnetotherapy techniques were modelled: longitudinal and transverse stimulation in two states of the stimulated organ: an intact and a broken bone. The possibilities of considering electromagneto-therapeutic therapy (magnetotherapy) an alternative therapy (based on the placebo effect) were analysed. The results of the studies showed that magnetotherapy was safe both for the patient and personnel.
