Maintenance and development of a system of information on science and technology in the field of occupational safety and ergonomics

"The task involved completing and improving the operation of a computer database of specialist documents related to occupational safety and ergonomics. The ALEPH-CIOP-PIB database was extended by bibliographical descriptions of over 3200 new documents introduced from inspection and over 5100 documents introduced from a traditional index-card catalogue introduced using retroconversion.At the same time corrections were introduced in the search catalogues. Information activity was also carried out. It was based on the Institute's Library collection: about 17590 books and about 22000 copies of Polish and foreign journals were lent; over 10340 readers were helped, including about 2590 from outside the Institute.In order to promote the information resources of the Institute's Library, its website was reconstructed. A flyer with brief information about it was published."
