Maintenance and development of a system of scientific and technical information in the field of occupational safety and ergonomics with the use of the ALEPH CIOP-PIB bibliographic computer system

"Work was carried out on additions and improvements in the operation of the ALEPH CIOP-PIB computer database of specialist documents in the field of occupational safety and ergonomics. The database consists of 7 sub-databases (Books, Journals, Journal Articles, Research Projects, Reports, Electronic Documents and Information Materials), which reflect the profile of the CIOP-PIB library.Over 3700 new records have been input into the database. Their bibliographic descriptions were done through inspection. At the same time the database was broadened by about 2000 items introduced with retroconversion. Within this task, the process of implementing a new module ""Availability"" of the ALEPH system was initiated and completed.To make searching for information easier for the users, ""An instruction - searching the ALEPH-CIOP-PIB database"" was developed and posted on the website.Issue 1 of a new series Bibliographic Thematic Issues entitled ""Occupational biohazards"" has been edited and published.A new version of the system ALEPH 16.02 was installed, which means that system data had to be transferred and the graphic interface of the website had to be adapted to the new version."
