Digitization of selected publishing items from the CIOP-PIB Library`s book collection in the field of occupational health and safety.

Within the task realization in the CIOP-PIB Library an overview and selection of documents from the years 1945-2000 was done. Monthly "Work Safety, Science and Practice" issued since 1951 was selected for scanning, as well as, the following book series
- Materials for Studies and Research,
- works of the Central lnstitute of Labour Protection,
- Series of Labour Protection,
- Bulletin of the Interdepartmental Committee in charge of the List Update of Maximum Allowable Concentrations and Factors that are harmful to health in the workplace,
- Basis and Methods of Working Environment Assessment,
- Labour Protection,
- Friend`s ABCs at Work.
All of these documents were scanned, which give approx. 62000 of scans saved in TIFF format and 300 dpi resolution. Website presenting task results (list of titles) was designed and prepared. What is more metadata of the page was updated with keywords on health and safety topics, enabling efficient document retrieval in search engines such as Google.
